Opis
Kamień w życiu człowieka

Stone was always an inseparable element of a man's every day life. In the Stone Age flint was used to make hunting weapons and tools. Later more and more minerals and rocks were used to satisfy new needs. Rocks were used as building material, stones and precious metals were sued to make jewellery and ores were used in the production of metals. The development of science and technology helped humans make a better use of minerals and rocks. At present minerals are still very important for many industrial sectors.

On display at the Stone in human development exhibition are rocks and minerals which are an inseparable element of a man's every day life. Visiting the exhibition one can learn a lot about their physical characteristics as well as hear legends about minerals and gemstones.
