The exhibition shows the history of sport, from ancient Greece, through the rise of modern Olympic Games in 19th century and the beginning of sport in Poland (the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th century), to present days.

In the area of about one thousand square metres in Olympic Centre are collected more than 3000 exhibits and almost 600 photographs referring to sport and Polish tourism. The choice was preceded by tough discussions, because the collection of the Museum consists of more than 50 thousand of exhibits and 55 thousand of photographs. The exhibition presents more than 40 sport disciplines, among others athletics, cycling, skiing, ice skating, tennis, fencing, horse riding, football, canoeing, judo, sailing, alpinism, summer and winter tourism.

Among the most interesting parts of the exhibition are the collection of the original Olympic medals and kayak of Karol Wojtyła, (later Pope Saint John Paul II). The exhibition is complemented by many movies, sound records and multimedia presentations.

The exhibition brings closer profiles of many prominent sportsmen and sportswomen representing number of disciplines. Among the most prominent are Kuchar brothers, Zbyszko Cyganiewicz, Waldemar Baszanowski, Bronisław Czech, Janusz Kusociński, Maria Kwaśniewska, Stanisława Walasiewicz, Jadwiga Jędrzejowska, Karol Rómmel, Adam Pappé, Jerzy Kulej, Irena Szewińska, Bronisław Malinowski, Stanisław Królak, Ryszard Szurkowski, Władysław Komar, Kazimierz Deyna, Wanda Rutkiewicz, Mateusz Kusznierewicz, Otylia Jędrzejczak, Adam Małysz, Robert Korzeniowski.
