Since the festival entered the calendars of music enthusiasts (in 1997), it has become a constant and important part of cultural life of Europe. Appreciated and introduced (in 2001) to the European Festivals Association in Ghent, Belgium. Programme of each edition of the festival, which since 2004 has taken place in Warsaw (first seven editions took place in Cracow), presents achievements of European music in interesting and varied way. Every time, the audience may see Beethoven de novo. Each year, festival's meetings demonstrate works of the composer from various music perspectives. They allow to see, where from he drew the inspiration, what kind of impact did he have on creators of other epochs and where is the place of Beethoven in contemporary art and modern world.

Subsequent editions of the festival have carefully thought-through leading motif, bringing all elements of the event (concerts, exhibitions) together. Indicator of this very exclusive, but at the same time popular musical feast are names of prominent performers, renowned ensembles and orchestras, but also beautiful programme books (in Polish and English) with repertoire information, biographic notes about the artists and essays about performed compositions.
