The 23rd Mozart Festival in Warsaw // XXIII Festiwal Mozartowski w Warszawie

An A-list event for lovers of sophisticated music, in particular for those, who appreciate the exceptional world of opera. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's oeuvre has for long years been an important part of Warsaw Chamber Opera. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth, in 1991, the first edition of Mozart Festival was organized. Artists of Warsaw Chamber Opera performed all of the staged works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, that is 26 creations. Such an achievement was an unprecedented one, as a project realized by a single Opera Theatre and thus attracted the more attention, both in Poland and abroad. This strong interest resulted in the event turning into a festival organized regularly, every year. Concerts always take place from 15th June to 26th July. Programmes of Mozart Festivals in Warsaw include presentations of all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's staged works, as well as a diversified selection of his concert pieces (presented at the Royal Castle, Seminary Church, Royal Łazienki and Wilanów Palace).

This year's edition of Mozart Festival in Warsaw will start with a première performance of ”Cosi fan tutte”, directed by Mark Weiss. The Festival will finish with an open-air presentation of ”Don Giovanni”, to be showcased at the courtyard of the Palace in Wilanów.

The 23rd Mozart Festival in Warsaw // XXIII Festiwal Mozartowski w Warszawie will include almost forty performances organized at the most prestigious venues in the Capital City of Warsaw: Royal Castle, Kościół Seminaryjny (Seminary Church), Kościół św. Krzyża (Church of the Holy Cross), Royal Łazienki, Wilanów Palace and Warsaw Chamber Opera Theatre.
